About Rain Tree

A retail experience that
actually respects your time.

Rain Tree started with a simple frustration: why is it so hard to find goods that feel right without spending hours searching or overpaying? We opened our doors on North Washington Avenue to change that — one thoughtful selection at a time.

We're not a warehouse with a storefront. Every product that comes through our doors gets looked at, handled, and approved. If it doesn't meet our bar, it doesn't make it to our shelves. That's the Rain Tree difference.

Whether you're a longtime Scranton neighbor or just passing through, we want you to walk out with exactly what you need — and maybe discover something you didn't know you were looking for.

What We Offer

Everything you need,
nothing you don't.

We keep our selection tight and intentional. That means less time scrolling, more time enjoying what you actually want.

Curated Everyday Goods

Products you'll actually use — from practical household essentials to thoughtful gifts that don't feel generic.

Quality You Can Feel

We test, touch, and evaluate before anything hits our floor. If it wouldn't sit in our own home, it won't sit on our shelf.

Gifts That Hit Different

Stuck on what to get someone? Our gift section is organized by vibe, not category — because people aren't spreadsheets.

Personal Shopping Help

Not sure what you're looking for? Our team loves helping you figure it out — no judgment, no hard sell, just real answers.

Local & Thoughtful Sourcing

We partner with makers and suppliers who share our standards. When you shop here, you're supporting a chain of good intentions.

Fair & Transparent Pricing

What you see is what you pay. No hidden fees, no surprise markups at checkout — just honest pricing on quality goods.

Why Choose Rain Tree

Because you deserve a store that
cares as much as you do.

We listen before we sell

We'd rather help you find the right thing than push the expensive thing. Your satisfaction isn't a metric — it's the point.

Our inventory changes with the seasons

Fresh finds, fresh energy. We rotate our selection so there's always something new to discover on every visit.

We're part of this community

Scranton isn't just where we're located — it's where we live, shop, and build relationships. Your support means everything to us.

No big-box impersonality

Walk in and you'll be greeted like a person, not a transaction. That's the standard, not the exception.
